While my husband was waiting for the check, I went up front to buy a dessert at the chocolate/dessert take-out counter. (The restaurant is very noisy, with no sound absorbing material in the lofted space.) She returned with two tiny pitchers of the requested additional dressing. Our server apologized for misunderstanding the order. We ordered one grilled salmon salad to share we were served TWO large salads - salmon nicely grilled, served hot and tasty on a large bed of chopped romaine lettuce - necessitating us to question whether the salad had been dressed. There was an absence of a bread basket (baguette?). So non-French! Taste: average and not piping hot. The onion soup au gratin was placed in front of me with soup slopped on the under-bowl plate. The server was clearly still learning her job! No drinks were listed on the menu and the server failed to ask us what we wanted. When we were finally led into the bar/dining room to a tiny two-top, there was additional waiting for a server. Additionally, during our wait, a group of four that arrived after us were seated. Several times during our wait, the hostess returned to inform us that the people at the table "for us" were 1) finishing 2) finished 3) still chatting and 4) leaving.
